We all know mindset is a huge part of success.
Tony Robbins talks about this a lot.
Your beliefs affect your actions.
Your actions affect your results.
It becomes a cycle.
If you believe you are 'crap at marketing' for example, then you'll naturally take less action.
When you take less action, you'll get less results.
If you get less results, it'll reinforce your beliefs that you're 'crap at marketing'.
Being conscious of this is hugely important in your success.
Today I'm going to share with you 3 factors that will massively affect your mindset.
1. Circle of Influence
Who is in your circle of influence? What kinds of people do you spend your time with?
Jim Rohn said -
"You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with"
Your mindset will be massively affected by the kinds of people you hang with. Birds of a feather flock together. If you allow yourself to spend too much time with people who have a negative mindset you'll be dragged down with them. Unfortunately, these people may be close friends or family. It will be tough to completely disconnect from them obviously. What I would recommend is to reduce the time you spend with them. Some would consider this harsh, but you need to ask yourself - How serious are you about creating success in your own life?
2. Taking small amounts of action
As I mentioned above, if you take action you can generate some sort of result. Even a small result will improve your belief in yourself.
"Make a commitment to take constant, small steps towards your goal"
Action will create more action. People who stall in business are in analysis paralysis. They get into a negative headspace because their results are lacking. Take a tiny bit of action each day and you'll notice a shift in your mindset.
3. Read voraciously
If you don't have anyone in your life who has a 'success mindset', start reading books by successful people. One of the easiest and cheapest ways to shift your mindset is to get an insight into the greats through their books.
Think Richard Branson, Steve Jobs and John D. Rockefeller.
Learn how they think and apply that in your own life. People who succeed in life simply think different and consequently take different action, which causes different (and better) results.
If you change who you hang out with, take small steps each day towards your goals and read books about the great in business - I've got no doubt that you'll experience a shift in the way you think and your results.
It just takes a decision on your part to shift.
